ENDOTHELIAL PROGENITOR CELLS
The electronic course provides information on endothelium and endothelial progenitor cells. Knowledge of this topic is required for gaining the credit in „Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine“.
-
The electronic course covers the following topics:
- Characterization of endothelial cells and their markers.
- Origin of endothelial cells. Hemangioblast.
- Isolation of endothelial progenitor cells.
- In vitro differentiation of endothelial cells.
- Vascularization: vasculogenesis, angiogenesis, arteriogenesis.
- Nestin: marker of activated endothelial cells.
- Therapeutic usage of endothelial progenitor cells.
